Jharkhand lifted the trophy in the Sub-Junior Girls National Football Championshi, trouncing Arunachal Pradesh 4-0 in the final of the at Barabati Stadium here today. Former Odisha international footballer Rajendra Prasad Singh handed over the trophy at the closing ceremony.
Earlier in the semifinals, Jharkhand edged out Bihar 7-6 (FT 3-3) via tie-breaker, while Arunachal Pradesh prevailed over Gujarat 2-1. Host Odisha made an early exit from the tournament, losing one and drawing the other of their two league matchesin Group-E.
